Owner, Capital Valley Inspecitons
Matt Barnes was raised in the Charleston, WV area, graduating from Nitro High School before earning his degree from Marshall University. Today, he is a proud resident of Hurricane, WV, serving families and businesses throughout the Kanawha Valley and beyond.
Before founding Capital Valley Inspections, Matt worked with several engineering firms that specialized in home inspections, structural evaluations, and insurance investigations. During this time, he saw firsthand the impact that poor or incomplete inspections had on families purchasing homes. After experiencing the frustration of inadequate inspections himself, Matt decided to pursue home inspection with a mission: to raise the standard and provide clients with the thorough, reliable information they deserve.
Over his career, Matt has personally completed thousands of inspections on a wide range of properties, including:
